This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Wawapet (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Wawapet mobile app and any related services.
When you create an account, you provide a mobile phone number or email address. You may also add a username, profile photo, and bio. When you create a pet profile, you provide information about your pet — species, breed, gender, birthday, description, and photos — and may optionally log health records such as vet visits, medications, and notes. Content you post (posts, comments, reviews, moments, messages) and any photos or files you upload are also stored by us.
Photos and other files you upload — avatars, pet photos, post images, vet-visit attachments — are stored with our cloud storage provider (Tencent Cloud COS) and served to the app so your content can be displayed. We do not use these files for any purpose other than displaying them in the app.
If you sign in or register with a phone number, we send a one-time verification code by SMS. The code is used only to confirm you control that number, expires shortly after it's sent, and is not reused for any other purpose.
Some content types (such as posts about rescue events, adoption, or secondhand items) let you optionally attach a country/city, or a precise location for a map pin (POI). This information is only collected when you choose to provide it as part of that content, and is used to show relevant nearby content to other users.
We use your information to operate the app's core features: creating and displaying your account, posts, and pet profiles; enabling you to message other users; showing relevant content based on location you've chosen to share; verifying your phone number; and maintaining the security and reliability of the service.
Content you choose to make visible in the app (posts, reviews, pet profiles, your username and avatar) is visible to other users of Wawapet, consistent with how that feature works. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the app — for example, our cloud storage provider (for files you upload) and our SMS provider (to deliver verification codes) — and we may disclose information if required by law.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we permanently remove your personal information (phone number, email, avatar, and username); content you previously posted remains, attributed to “Deleted User”, for the reasons explained in our Terms of Service. Verification codes are deleted automatically shortly after they expire.
You can view and update your profile and pet information at any time within the app. You can delete individual posts, comments, reviews, or pets you've created. You can cancel your account entirely from Me → Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your personal information as described above.
Wawapet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including transmitting data over encrypted connections and storing files with a reputable cloud provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App before they take effect. Continued use of Wawapet after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

当你使用手机号登录或注册时,我们会通过短信向你发送一次性验证码。该验证码仅用于确认你对该手机号的控制权,发送后很快就会过期,不会被用于其他任何用途。
部分内容类型(如救助活动、领养或二手转让相关的帖子)允许你选择性地附加国家/城市信息,或为地图标记提供精确位置。此类信息仅在你主动提供时才会被收集,用于向其他用户展示附近的相关内容。
我们使用你的信息来支持应用的核心功能:创建并展示你的账号、帖子与宠物档案;支持你与其他用户私信交流;根据你选择分享的位置信息展示相关内容;验证你的手机号;并维护服务的安全与稳定运行。
你在应用内选择公开展示的内容(帖子、评价、宠物档案、用户名与头像),会按照相应功能的展示逻辑对宠哇的其他用户可见。我们不会将你的个人信息出售给第三方。我们仅在运营应用所必需的范围内与服务提供商共享信息——例如为存储你上传的文件而使用的云存储服务商,以及为发送验证码而使用的短信服务商——并可能在法律要求的情况下披露信息。
只要你的账号处于活跃状态,我们就会保留你的账号信息。如果你注销账号,我们会永久删除你的个人信息(手机号、邮箱、头像与用户名);你此前发布的内容会按照《用户协议》中说明的原因予以保留,作者显示为“已注销用户”。验证码会在过期后不久被自动删除。
你可以随时在应用内查看并更新你的个人资料与宠物信息。你可以删除自己创建的单条帖子、评论、评价或宠物档案。你也可以在“我的 → 设置 → 注销账号”中完全注销账号,这将按照上文所述永久删除你的个人信息。
宠哇并非面向 13 周岁以下儿童设计,我们不会在明知的情况下收集 13 周岁以下儿童的个人信息。如果你认为某位儿童向我们提供了个人信息,请联系我们以便删除。
我们采取合理的技术与管理措施来保护你的信息,包括通过加密连接传输数据,以及使用信誉良好的云服务商存储文件。但没有任何传输或存储方式是绝对安全的,我们无法保证信息的绝对安全。
我们可能会不时更新本隐私政策。如有重大变更,我们会在变更生效前通过应用内通知告知你。变更生效后继续使用宠哇,即表示你接受更新后的政策。
